Evaluation

The seventh installment of the Time Bokan series, "Time Bokan Series Itadakiman", is an anime series that aired in 1983 and was co-produced by Tatsunoko Productions and Fuji Television. Aiming to return to the series' roots, this work adopts a comedy style with stronger gag elements. The story, based on "Journey to the West", is an adventure tale of searching for Oshaka-sama's treasure, "Oshaka Puzzle", scattered all over the world, and depicts the humorous adventures of the main characters.

The story centers on the conflict between the "Tatemae Trio," a group of students attending Oshaka Academy, including Sanzo Houko, and the "Niwasanmon Trio," a group of ronin students who are trying to thwart their efforts to collect puzzles. Of particular note is the plot twist that Kuusaku Magota, a boy who accompanies the Niwasanmon Trio, actually transforms into the hero Itadakiman. This twist provides fresh surprises for viewers and adds to the appeal of the series.

The character designs combine main character design by Yoshitaka Amano with character styling by Toji Mizumura to create unique and attractive visuals. In addition, the mechanical designs by Kunio Okawara have inherited the traditional mechanical appeal of the series while adding new appeal. Kazuo Okada, who was in charge of art styling, has also worked to enrich the worldview of the work.

In terms of music, the songs by Masayuki Jinbo and Masayuki Yamamoto add to the atmosphere of the work. In particular, the opening theme "Itadaki Mambo" captured the hearts of viewers with the singing voice of Mayumi Tanaka, and the ending theme "Dobibiin Serenade" was memorable with the unique singing voice of Ken Kitamura.

Director Hiroshi Sasagawa respects the traditions of the series while incorporating new ideas to provide viewers with a fresh experience. Akiyoshi Sakai's script, which is in charge of composition, skillfully balances comedy and action to keep viewers entertained. Hidehito Ueda's direction is also an important factor in improving the quality of the work.

The subtitles for each episode also reflect the humorous atmosphere of the show, and there are many ways to entertain the viewers. For example, titles such as "Surprise Swimsuit Contest!" and "What! Yang Yang Has a Baby?" not only capture the viewer's interest, but also give a hint of how the story will unfold.

"Time Bokan Series Itadakiman" is characterized by its emphasis on comedy elements, especially when compared to other works in the Time Bokan series. While the previous work in the series, "Gyakuten Ippatsuman," pursued a serious line, this work has returned to its roots and places importance on providing laughter to the viewers. This change in line has been well received by viewers and has succeeded in bringing out new appeal in the series.

In addition, this work is deeply connected to other works in the Time Bokan series as a related work. By watching other works in the series such as "Time Bokan", "Yatterman", and "Zendaman", you can gain a deeper understanding of the background of this work and the relationships between the characters. In particular, the movie "Yatterman: New Yatter Mecha Great Collection! The Decisive Battle in Toy Country! Colon!" is a work that fans of the series cannot miss.

Recommendation

"Time Bokan Series Itadakiman" is highly recommended not only for fans of the Time Bokan series, but also for viewers who enjoy comedy anime and action comedies. It is especially perfect for those who want to experience a return to the series' roots and enjoy humorous stories and unique characters.

This work not only provides laughs to viewers, but also adds new appeal while inheriting the traditional elements of the series, decorating a new page in the Time Bokan series. Every element of the work, such as the subtitles of each episode, the character settings, and the music, is designed to entertain viewers, and they also leave a high sense of satisfaction after watching.

Also, by watching related works, you can gain a deeper understanding of the background of this work and the relationships between the characters. By watching it together with other works in the series, you will be able to enjoy the world of the Time Bokan series more deeply.

"Time Bokan Series Itadakiman" is a must-see for fans of the Time Bokan series, and is also a must-see for viewers who love gag anime and action comedies. Be sure to watch this work and discover new charms of the Time Bokan series.
