review

Gunjo no Magmel is a story of adventure and rescue set on an unknown continent. The protagonist, Inmata, is a rescuer with the highest success rate in rescues, and overcomes various crises using his special abilities and high physical abilities. The story is told from Inmata's perspective, and carefully depicts his growth and the changes in his relationships.

In terms of the anime's visuals, the skill of character designer Akira Ishii shines through. The designs of the main characters, such as Inmata, Zero, and Emilia, are unique and visually enjoyable. The prop and creature design team is also excellent, depicting Magmel's unknown creatures and resources realistically. In particular, the action scenes are effectively supervised by Koichi Usami, creating a strong visual impact.

In terms of music, the background music by Koji Takanashi (Team-MAX) enhances the atmosphere of the story. In particularly tense scenes, the music helps the story progress and enhances the viewer's emotions. The opening and ending songs are also impressive, with Fudanjuku's "Gunjo no Magmel" and a flood of circle's "Gunjo no Magmel" matching each scene perfectly.

Each episode of the story depicts a different incident or adventure, and throughout the series we see Inmata's growth and the changes in his relationships. In particular, the relationship between Inmata and Zero is at the heart of the story, and it is moving to watch their bond deepen. Additionally, the appearance of Emilia adds new developments to the story, revealing a new side to Inmata.

However, there are some parts where the story seems a little scattered. Especially in the episodes from the middle onwards, Inmata's growth and changes in human relationships are depicted, but the overall story development can feel a little slow. This may be because each episode's incidents and adventures are independent, which makes the overall story progress feel slow.

Still, Gunjo no Magmel is an appealing work for its visuals, music, and storyline that depicts Inmatata's growth and the changes in relationships. I would especially recommend it to viewers who enjoy stories of adventure and rescue.
