One Piece 1000th episode commemorative live broadcast revealed a link to a pirated adult comic website

During Shueisha's official live broadcast to celebrate the 1000th episode of "One Piece" a few days ago, the editor in charge of "One Piece" was caught by sharp-eyed viewers that links to pirated pornographic comics websites appeared in his browsing history.

As soon as the incident happened, the biggest controversy was that the publisher, who had always been a victim of piracy, was actually crying "Catch the thief". Due to the new law enacted in Japan in January 2021, in the future, "downloading pirated comics" in Japan will also be illegal. Therefore, this matter is not just a moral perception issue, but also suspected of being illegal.

In an interview with Japanese media J-CAST, Shueisha's public relations department explained that after checking the employee's phone, it was determined that it was browsing history, and the editor just accidentally clicked on a pirated pornographic comics website while surfing the Internet, leaving it there, and was not actively looking for pirated comics. At the same time, Shueisha also emphasized that they would never illegally download pirated comics.

At the same time, Shueisha is also carefully reviewing the use of employees' personal mobile phones for live broadcasts.
