The live-action movie "Mortal Kombat" is postponed to April next year

Warner Bros. recently announced the release date of the film "Mortal Kombat" produced by James Wan and directed by Simon McQuoid. The film was originally scheduled to be released next month, but it has now been changed to April 16, 2021.

Additionally, Todd Garner, one of the film's executive producers, announced that there won't be a new trailer until 2021. The exact timeline hasn't been revealed, but if the film is set to be released in theaters and on HBO Max in April, then it could be sometime in January or February.

Based on the game of the same name, the new live-action movie of "Mortal Kombat" will restart the movie series and is also the third live-action movie of "Mortal Kombat". The first live-action movie was first released in 1997.
