Ellen Page's e-sports film "1Up" will start filming in November

The film is directed by Kyle Newman, who has filmed "Star Wars Fandom," and the script is written by Julia Yorks, who has written children's TV scripts. The report said that "1Up" "is described as having the style of a "Pitch Perfect" movie, but is set in an e-sports environment against the backdrop of the European and American "Gamergate" incident."

In the film, e-sports player Vivian Lee quits her college team after being subjected to sexism by her male teammates. However, such behavior may affect her scholarship, so she is forced to form a new team under the guidance of a "mysterious coach" played by Ellen Page.
