After filming the majority of the movie in Sydney, parts of the Shang-Chi crew have moved to San Francisco to find additional filming opportunities for this absolutely sensational film. New San Francisco set footage shows plenty of mayhem and destruction happening in Shang-Chi, and the video seems to confirm that there will be a main story car chase in the film. Video of Shang-Chi’s San Francisco set: The vehicle chase scene shows an out-of-control bus being chased by another car, which tries to stop the bus and push it to the side of the road. Another such video shows the same bus stopped on the side of the road during a break in filming. Since Shang-Chi previously filmed the bulk of the film in Australia, much of the film's production was able to be completed because Australia has handled the coronavirus outbreak better than most governments. "Shang-Chi" will be released in North America on July 9, 2021. Canadian-Chinese Simu Liu will play the protagonist "Shang-Chi", Tony Leung will play "Mandarin", and "Crazy Rich Asians" heroine Awkwafina will join. |
