The TV animation "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" was produced by Kyoto Animation and adapted from the manga of the same name created by Kuru Kyoushin. It started airing on January 11, 2017. The TV broadcast had 13 episodes, and the 14th episode was included in the 7th volume of the BD as an unbroadcast episode on TV. The first season was supervised by Yasuhiro Takemoto.

The work tells the story of the protagonist, white-collar Kobayashi, who lives in an apartment. After getting drunk one day, he accidentally walked into the mountains and saved the life of Dragon Thor who was stabbed by a sword.
