Previously, we have reported that Junji Ito's classic manga "Uzumaki" has been confirmed to be animated and will be adapted into a 4-episode mini-anime series. Now, the official has announced the storyboard of the first episode of "Uzumaki" animation guided by the manga.

"Uzumaki" is one of the long representative works of Japanese horror manga master Junji Ito. The story begins when the protagonist, a beautiful high school girl named Kirie Goto, and her boyfriend, Shuichi Saito, return to the town of Kurozu from the school in the neighboring town. Various strange things begin to spread to everyone in the town, and the curse of the vortex spreads throughout the town of Kurozu...

The "Uzumaki" animation is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama ("Mushi-shi") and produced by Production IG, which has produced "Ghost in the Shell" and "Psycho-Pass". It is scheduled to be broadcast on Toonami this year.
