"Uzumaki" is one of the long representative works of Japanese horror manga master Junji Ito. The story begins when the protagonist, a beautiful high school girl named Kirie Goto, and her boyfriend, Shuichi Saito, return to the town of Kurozu from the school in the neighboring town. Various strange things begin to spread to everyone in the town, and the curse of the vortex spreads throughout the town of Kurozu... The "Uzumaki" animation is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama ("Mushi-shi") and produced by Production IG, which has produced "Ghost in the Shell" and "Psycho-Pass".
