According to foreign media Hollywoodreporter, Canadian-Iranian director Mostafa Keshvari shot a film titled "Corona" about the new coronavirus. The first trailer and poster were released, and the film is currently looking for buyers for distribution and release.

Coronavirus poster

This thriller was filmed in Vancouver, Canada, with a portable camera and shot in one take. It was played by all new actors. The story takes place in an elevator of a residential building. Seven tenants were trapped in the elevator at the beginning of the outbreak of the new coronavirus. One of the tenants, a Chinese female tenant, was discriminated against by other tenants. They suspected that the new Chinese female tenant was infected with the new coronavirus and believed that she might infect them with the virus.

The director said that the idea of making this film came from reading a news report about a Chinese tourist being attacked while he was in an elevator, and he also wanted to make a movie that takes place in an elevator. He said that when he first made this film, the COVID-19 outbreak was only in China, and he did not know that the epidemic would spread globally. "The virus does not discriminate, and anyone can be infected, so why should we discriminate against others?" The film has been edited and is preparing to sell the copyright.
