Amazon's new series "Lord of the Rings" cast officially announced "Rome" actor starring

Today (March 4), according to IGN, the previously announced star of Amazon's American TV series "The Lord of the Rings" has now been confirmed to be Max Baldry (Rome Season 2). The most expensive American TV series in history, "The Lord of the Rings", has now started filming in New Zealand.

Amazon's new series "The Lord of the Rings" focuses on the Second Age of Middle-earth written by Tolkien, and will expand the storyline of the movie version of "The Lord of the Rings"! Juan Antonio Bayona of "Jurassic World 2" will produce and direct the first two episodes, and John D. Payne and Patrick McKay of "Star Trek 3" will serve as screenwriters and producers.
