War film "1917" IGN 9.5 points: One of the best films of the year M station: Must see

"1917", a World War I-themed movie directed by Sam Mendes, the director of the "007" best-selling "Quantum of Solace" and "Spectre", has been released in North America. IGN gave it a high score of 9.5 and called it one of the best movies of the year. IGN said that Sam Mendes and his team restored a vivid world of World War I and stunningly presented the painful life in 1917.

IGN: 1917 is a meticulously crafted, grueling, and thrilling journey behind enemy lines. Director Sam Mendes's film is brilliantly shot, deftly paced, and compellingly reconstructed in time and place, while wisely not neglecting the smaller, intimate elements of this fast-paced, large-scale, big-action story. 1917 insists on highlighting what it means to be human in such an impersonal environment. It's one of the best movies of the year.
