Yuasa Masaaki's "Ride the Waves with You" is rescheduled to December 7

On August 5 this year, the animated film "Ride Your Waves", which was originally scheduled to be released in mainland China on August 7, the Chinese Valentine's Day, was withdrawn. Three months later today (November 12), the official finally announced the release date of this animated film produced by Masaaki Yuasa.

According to the latest official news released today, "Ride Your Waves" will be officially released in mainland China on December 7, and the official also released a new Chinese release poster.

"Ride Your Waves" was released in Japan on June 21, 2019. The film tells the love story between the righteous firefighter Hina Poppyko and the surfing-loving college student Hinako Mukai. Animation master Hayao Miyazaki once described the film's director Masaaki Yuasa as "a genius animator who appears once in a century."

The film also won the Best Animated Film Award at the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival. It is reported that Ryota Katayose voiced the male protagonist Hinako Kou, who has a strong sense of justice and is trusted by those around him, Rina Kawaei voiced the cheerful but unconfident female protagonist Hinako Mukai, Honoka Matsumoto voiced Hinako Kou's sister Hinako Yoko, and Kentaro Ito voiced Kou's junior Kawamura Wasabi.
