Venom director: Sony is preparing for a collaboration between Venom and the Dutch version of Spider-Man

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" has achieved huge box office success, which has also led Sony to start preparations for "Venom 2". According to Ruben Fleischer, the first director of "Venom", Sony is preparing to have Tom Holland's "Venom" and Tom Holland's "Bug" "meet".

"Venom" director Ruben Fleischer said in an interview with the American film website Fandom: "This (linkage) is the key to everything." In addition, Ruben Fleischer also talked about the problems between Marvel and Sony. They will make some changes to the origin story of Venom in the movie. He added: "Because we changed the origin story of Venom... In the comics, he evolved from Spider-Man, but because of Marvel and Sony (you know), we can't do it. But now I think the two characters are moving in the direction of linkage, and everyone should be very excited about Venom and Spider-Man being in the same frame."

Currently, Venom 2 is directed by motion capture master Andy Serkis, with Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams returning to play the male and female protagonists. In addition, Carnage (played by Woody Harrison), who appeared in the post-credits Easter egg of the first movie, will also return.

"Venom 2" has been confirmed to start filming in London on November 18 this year, and the film is expected to be released in North America on October 2, 2020.
