Osamu Tezuka's masterpiece "Dororo" new TV animation enters a new chapter in April

The new TV animation of "Dororo", the classic masterpiece by Osamu Tezuka, a master of the Japanese comics world, will enter a new chapter on April 8. The latest stills were released today. Let's enjoy them together.

"Dororo" is a famous comic work by Japanese cartoonist Osamu Tezuka. It tells the story of the middle of the Muromachi period in ancient Japan. After experiencing the Onin and Bunmei turmoils, the samurai Daigo Kagemitsu dreamed of dominating the troubled times, so he sacrificed his unborn son to 48 demons, and after his son was born with 48 missing organs, he threw him into the river.

The child was rescued by the doctor Shou Hai, who made artificial eyes and limbs for him to make up for the missing parts of his body and raised him up. The child decided to leave his adoptive father to find a place to settle down.

Before leaving, Shoukai named him Hyakkimaru. After learning that his organs were taken away by the 48 demons, Hyakkimaru set out to defeat the demons in order to get them back. On the way, he met the young thief Dororo who claimed to be a thief (actually a girl), and began an adventure of fighting monsters.

The new OP theme song for the new April episode of the TV animation "Dororo" has been confirmed to be "Dororo", created by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION; and the ED theme song is "Dark Night". Let's look forward to it together and enjoy the latest stills:
