The Last of Us Season 2 to air in 2025, production to begin next year

HBO's adaptation of The Last of Us is undoubtedly one of the most successful TV series of 2023, so it's no surprise that the company is preparing for Season 2. Due to the strike in Hollywood this year, the entire industry has come to a standstill, including The Last of Us Season 2.

The strike ended in September and production on the show is about to begin. According to foreign media reports, HBO boss Casey Bloys said that the second season of The Last of Us will be broadcast sometime in 2025 and production will begin in early 2024. Bella, who plays Ali in the show, also said previously that the show will premiere in 2025.

The first episode of "The Last of Us" covers all the plots and DLC lost in the first part, but the producer said that the second season will not include all the content of "The Last of Us 2".
