According to Maoyan Professional Edition data, the movie "Barbie" was released in China for three days and the total box office exceeded 30 million.

Barbie grossed $70.5 million on its first day in the U.S., setting a record for the highest first-day box office in the U.S. in 2023. The global total box office has now exceeded $150 million, with a budget of $145 million.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in North America, Barbie is almost certain to become the highest-grossing domestic opening weekend for a film directed by a woman alone - the record is currently held by Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman, which opened with a domestic box office of $103.3 million in 2017. Barbie will also set some other records, including surpassing The Super Mario Bros. Movie ($146.3 million) to become the highest-grossing domestic opening weekend so far in 2023. It is followed by Spider-Man: Into the Universe ($120.7 million), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ($118.4 million) and Ant-Man 3 ($106.9 million).
