"The Little Mermaid" has broken the global box office of 500 million US dollars. Do you love the black mermaid?

The live-action movie "The Little Mermaid" has caused heated discussion since its release. Now Disney has announced that the film has exceeded 500 million US dollars in global box office, becoming the fifth Hollywood movie this year to achieve this result after "Super Mario", "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3", "Fast and Furious 10" and "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse".

The Little Mermaid earned $8.674 million in North America in its fifth weekend, down only 21.5% from the previous weekend, bringing the total to $270 million in North America. It earned another $9.4 million overseas, totaling $229.1 million, while the mainland China box office was only $3.692 million.

The Little Mermaid has grossed $499 million worldwide and will break $500 million on Monday. The film cost $250 million to make, so this box office result is not that great.
