The animation "Blue Prison" themed football game will be held in Dallas on April 8

A soccer match inspired by the soccer anime Blue Lock will take place on April 8 at 8pm local time in Dallas, Texas, USA. Animation company Crunchyroll, Saturdays Football and Los Angeles Galaxy Football Club will join forces to host the match to celebrate the release of the first episode of the English dub version of the anime.

The following English voice actors are scheduled to participate in the competition:

Bryson Baugus (voiced by Nagi Seishiro)

Alex Hom (voiced by Rensuke Kunishin)

Matthew Elkins (voice of Kenjo Zantetsu)

The football game will be held at Crossbar in Richardson, Texas, north of Dallas. Admission is free, but you need an invitation through EventBrite .

Inspired by the matches in the anime series, contestants will compete in multiple 3v3 "King of the Court" matches, followed by semi-finals for the top four teams in each group, and finally the finals for the group winners.

The winning team will receive exclusive Blue Prison merchandise. At the same time, all participants will receive a free Crunchyroll trial code to watch the Blue Prison animation.

This is not the first time Crunchyroll has held such a competition. They previously held a similar football bidding competition in Los Angeles on March 25.
