The live-action movie "The Little Mermaid" will be released in China

Today (March 28), Disney announced that the live-action film "The Little Mermaid" will be introduced to mainland China. The release date is to be determined. The film will be released in North America on May 26.

The live-action film of "The Little Mermaid" is directed by Rob Marshall and stars Halle Bailey as the mermaid Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Javier Bardem as Ariel's father King Triton, Melissa McCarthy as the villain Ursula, Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina as Ariel's friends Flounder and Scuttle the seagull, and Daveed Diggs as Sebastian the red crab.

The live-action movie "The Little Mermaid" is adapted from the 1989 animated film version. It tells the story of a little mermaid living in the sea who, after falling in love with a prince, resolutely gives up her country and race, becomes a human being, and pursues love. However, the prince marries the princess. Instead of killing the prince to turn back into a mermaid, the little mermaid chooses to sacrifice herself, and in the end she gets an eternal soul.
