The animated film "The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Rohan" directed by Kenji Kamiyama will be released in North America on December 13, 2024. As a prequel, the producers of this film include Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson, who co-created the "Lord of the Rings" film trilogy. The three are currently participating in the film "The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum" directed and starred by Andy Serkis. Philippa Boyens, who once again served as screenwriter, recently revealed in an interview with SFX magazine that she was "excited" about the upcoming new "Lord of the Rings" spin-off film. "The Rohirrim is our own test of the waters. Can we go back to Middle-earth? Should we go back? It's such a pleasure to go back. I fell in love with the whole story and the world again, especially Professor Tolkien's thoughts and his way of thinking, and I rediscovered that. He didn't just write books, he wrote the whole mythology." Philippa Boyens said, "So his work can accommodate a lot of things. This is just another contribution to the world he created. Ultimately, it depends on the audience - as long as people are willing to interact with this world, there will be drama." |
