According to Variety , HBO Max’s Dune prequel series has added three new cast members, Mark Strong, Jade Anuka, and Chris Metzen. The series, currently titled "Dune: Sisterhood," is set 10,000 years before the events of the movie "Dune" and is based on the novel "Sisterhood of Dune" by Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson. Mark Strong will play Emperor Jarvik Corino, who is described as "a man from a great family of wartime emperors who is called upon to rule the Empire and administer a fragile peace." According to the official description, the series will "follow the Harkonnen sisters (Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson) as they battle the forces that threaten the future of humanity and found the legendary Bene Gesserit sect." The series is currently in production. |
