The Flash star refuses to plead guilty and could face up to 26 years in prison

"The Flash" star Ezra Miller has pleaded not guilty to a felony theft charge. If convicted, Miller faces up to 26 years in prison and a fine of more than $2,000.

According to Deadline, Miller was indicted in Vermont, USA, and appeared remotely in the Criminal Division of the Green Mountain State Superior Court on October 17. The charges stem from an incident in Vermont on August 7, when Miller allegedly stole three bottles of wine from a private home's food pantry.

Miller's representative said the house belonged to a childhood friend of Miller's and Miller thought they were able to enter the home to get some rice wine while he was cooking with his mother. The representative also said Miller "did not realize the friend no longer wanted to be friends."

In court on Monday, Miller was told to stay away from the owner of the home, as well as another Vermont resident. The next hearing in the case is set for January 13, 2023.

Miller's attorney, Lisa B. Shelkrot, said: "Miller would like to thank them for the love and support they have received from his family and friends, who have been an important presence in his mental health."
