Today (August 30), the Disney version of "Pinocchio" announced the "Pinocchio's Magic" special, and the film will be launched on Disney+ on September 8. Tom Hanks plays the "father" of the puppet Pinocchio - the old carpenter Geppetto, and Robert Zemeckis ("Forrest Gump" and "Back to the Future") directed it. Special Video: Luke Evans plays the villain Coachman, notorious for luring and trafficking "stupid little boys", Benjamin Evan Ainsworth voices Pinocchio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt voices Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo plays the Blue Fairy, Keegan-Michael Key voices Honest John, and Lorraine Blanco voices the new character Sophia the Seagull. The 1940 animated version of "Pinocchio" is adapted from the fairy tale novel by Italian writer Carlo Collodi. It tells the story of an old carpenter who made a puppet boy named Pinocchio. He was given life by a fairy and was told that if he could show qualities such as bravery and honesty, he could become a real boy. Pinocchio embarked on a series of adventures and turned from a willful, naughty, lazy, and unlearning puppet into a polite, hardworking, studious, caring, and kind child.
