According to new statistics, the global scale of Japanese animation is about 3.7 trillion yen, and One Piece alone accounts for 300 billion yen

The MANGA Research Institute, a private association, recently released its latest statistical report, showing that the global market size of Japanese animation has reached 3.7 trillion yen, of which the "One Piece" series has been at the top for many years, accounting for 300 billion, or nearly 10%.

It is reported that the market value of this statistics includes comics, animation, games, videos, peripherals and other related industry projects, among which derivative joint games account for about 0.5 trillion yen.

In terms of overall regional distribution, approximately 40% of the total node volume of 1.5 trillion yen in 2022 will be contributed by regions outside Japan, and it is expected that by 2026, the market share will be evenly divided between Japan and abroad.

According to IP, the outstanding performances include:

The "One Piece" series topped the list, with an average annual revenue of nearly 300 billion by 2022, accounting for nearly 10%, of which 200 billion is peripheral income.

"Detective Conan" has also reached a cumulative total of 350 billion, but in 2022 it was only 20 billion, which is estimated to be caused by the impact of the movie theater version.

"Jujutsu Kaisen" has an average of 100 billion yen per year, and mobile games have further boosted it in recent years.

"Attack on Titan" has reached a cumulative total of 100 billion, and in 2022 alone it will also reach 20 billion.
