Recently, the official trailer of the Korean costume war film "Hansan: Rise of the Dragon" was released. The film is adapted from the "Battle of Hansan Island" in 1592, in which the Korean navy defeated the Japanese navy near Hansan Island. It will be released in South Korea in July this year.

"Hansan: The Dragon's Rise" is the sequel to "Myeongryang" and the second part of the "Yi Sun-sin Trilogy" directed by Kim Han-min. Park Hae-il plays Yi Sun-sin, Byeon Yo-han plays Wakizaka Yasuji, Ahn Seong-ki plays Eo Young-dam, Son Hyun-joo plays Won-gyun, Kim Hyang-gi plays Jung, Ok Taec-yeon plays Lim Joon-young, Kong Myung plays Lee Eok-gi, Kim Sung-gyu plays Jun-sa, Kim Sung-gyun plays Kato Kiyomasa, Park Ji-hwan plays Na Dae-yong, and Cho Jae-yoon plays Manabe Samayun.

The "Yi Sun-Sin Trilogy" directed by Kim Han-min is the first Korean series based on historical heroes. Choi Min-sik in "The Battle of Myeongryang", Park Hae-il in "Hansan: Rise of the Dragon", and Kim Yoon-seok in "Noryang: Sea of ​​Death" will play Yi Sun-Sin in different periods respectively.

"Hansan: The Rise of the Dragon" tells the story of the Hansan Naval Battle 5 years before the Myeongryang Naval Battle. In order to defend against the defensive Joseon, Admiral Yi Sun-sin led the Joseon navy to use strategy to defeat the Japanese navy. It is reported that the production cost of this sequel is about 30 billion won. Koreans have used the trilogy to outline the heroic image of Yi Sun-sin.

In 1598, the Chinese and Korean naval forces fought the Battle of Noryang with Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Japanese navy.
