The red-haired cape style of the movie "Batgirl" released the protagonist's artistic setting map

At this year's DC FanDome event, we got a glimpse into a different side of Gotham City from HBO Max's Batgirl movie.

Leslie Grace, the heroine of "In the Heights", will play Barbara Gordon in this film. She is the daughter of Inspector Gordon. Inspired by Batman, she puts on a cape and fights crime as Batgirl.

"She explores the duality that is inherent in her personality as she first discovers herself as Batgirl," said screenwriter Christina Hodson.

The suits in the movie have not been designed yet, but the creative team shared an art concept map, although it is not that clear.

"She's going to have a hooded cape, that's for sure," co-directors Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah said. And she's also going to have her signature red hair.

The Batgirl movie has been planned since 2017 and was originally planned to be directed by Joss Whedon of The Avengers. A year later, the director stepped down and the film gradually became its current form.

"Batgirl" will not be released in theaters, but will be broadcast directly on HBO Max, and the release date is unknown.
