■ Main Characters

・Ko Uraki / Male. Place of Birth: Earth. Age: 19. Affiliation/Status: Earth Federation Forces, Second Lieutenant. (Earth Federation Ground Forces, Torrington Base MS Test Squadron Pilot, Australia) (Earth Federation Space Forces, Third Earth Orbital Fleet Albion B Platoon MS Pilot, Search and Attack Force) Earth Federation Forces, First Lieutenant (Wartime Rank) (Earth Federation Space Forces, Third Earth Orbital Fleet Albion B Platoon MS Pilot, Search and Attack Force) Earth Federation Forces, Second Lieutenant (Earth Federation Ground Forces, Oakley Base MS Evaluation Test Pilot, North America) Pilot of GP01/Fb and GP03. Upon graduating from Nijmegen Military Academy, he was assigned to Torrington Base and became a test pilot. He became a pilot because he loves MS, which gives him the attitude of understanding and controlling his own machine, which can be said to be suitable for piloting a special prototype machine like the Gundam. He doesn't stand out due to his childish dislike of carrots and his easy-going personality, but he excels at instantaneous judgment, insight, and future prediction. He is a late bloomer when it comes to women, but he gets along well with Nina, who has a strong attachment to Gundam, and he gradually becomes attracted to her. He grows as a man and a pilot through the destruction of the GP01, the fight with Kelly, the death of Banning, and the fight with Gato. He is especially close to Gato, as he was present at the scene of the theft of the GP02A. With the death of Banning in battle, he is promoted to lieutenant, a wartime rank that is a captain's privilege. In the fight with Gato, he loses the GP01-Fb in a draw, and even goes so far as to steal the GP03 in an attempt to stop Gato from dropping the colony. After everything was over, he was tried in a military court and sentenced to prison, but the existence of the Gundam development project itself was erased, so the charges were dismissed and he was released and assigned to Oakley Base. Appears in: Episodes 1-13 - Chuck Keith / Male. Place of Origin: Earth. Age: 20. Affiliation/Status: Earth Federation Forces, Second Lieutenant (Earth Federation Ground Forces, Australian-area Torrington Base MS Test Squadron Pilot) (Earth Federation Space Forces, Third Earth Orbital Fleet Search and Attack Force Albion B Platoon MS Pilot) (Earth Federation Ground Forces, North America-area Oakley Base MS Evaluation Test Pilot) Kou's best friend since Nijmegen Military Academy. In Albion, he pilots a GM Cannon II. He was a test pilot at Torrington Base, but volunteered to join Albion's MS unit to accompany Kou. In contrast to Kou, he has an active personality, and at first he was after Nina, but when he saw that there was no hope, he switched to a Mora. Although his skills as a pilot are average, he was a good support for Kou both in public and private. After the conflict with the Delaz Fleet ended, he became a test pilot at Oakley Base in North America. Appears in: Episodes 1-13 - South Banning / Male. Age: 39. Affiliation/position: Earth Federation Forces (Earth Federation Space Forces, MS Pilot Captain of the "Immortal 4th Platoon") Earth Federation Forces, Captain → (Earth Federation Ground Forces, Torrington Base MS Test Squadron Captain, Australia) → (Earth Federation Space Forces, Third Earth Orbital Fleet, Albion MS Squadron Captain) He is like a father to the young pilots, Kou and others, and a great role model. During the One Year War, he commanded the "Immortal 4th Platoon" as a lieutenant, and was trusted by his subordinates. He was a pilot commander in the MS test unit at Torrington Base, but was asked by Synapse to look after the Albion pilots when they tried to recapture the GP02A. He is an excellent pilot who fights on the front lines in a GM Custom, but he is feeling his physical decline. He has a wife, Sylvia, who lives separately on Earth, but it seems he has girlfriends in various places. He obtains the plan for Operation Stardust from Musai of the sunk Cima fleet and approaches the whole picture, but the damage he received during the battle causes his GM Custom to explode. He disappears into space along with the plan. Episodes he appears in: Episodes 1-8, Aper Synapse, male. Age: 45. Affiliation/position: Earth Federation Forces, Colonel (Captain of Albion, a reconnaissance and attack force belonging to the Earth Federation Space Forces, Third Earth Orbital Fleet). Captain of the assault landing ship Albion. A calm and collected veteran soldier, he can be a little short-tempered. When he called at Torrington Base to test two Gundams under gravity and to receive a nuclear warhead for the GP02A, the GP02A is stolen by the Delaz Fleet. He is then tasked with recapturing it, but due to the Delaz Fleet's carefully prepared plan and the lack of sufficient support from the Federation Forces, he allows a nuclear attack on Compeitou. He even saw through the nuclear attack as a decoy, and tried to receive GP03 at La Vie en Rose to recover his fighting power after losing GP01Fb, which led to a conflict with Major Nakato. His subsequent actions were all on his own initiative. He was court-martialed for this, and with no one to defend his cause after Cowen was gone, he was sentenced to death. Episodes he appears in: Episodes 1-13, Alpha A. Veit, male. Age: 28 years old. After the battle with the Delaz Fleet, he was transferred to the Titans. Episodes he appears in: Episodes 3-13, Chap Adel, male. Age: 24. Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 STARDUST MEMORY Review and Recommendation

"Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory" is one of the most notable works in the Gundam series, and its appeal is packed with depth of story, character development, and spectacular battle scenes. The work is set in the year 0083 of the Universal Century and depicts the battle between the Earth Federation Forces and the remnants of the Zeon forces. In particular, the series of events that begins with the theft of the Gundam Prototype Unit 2 shows powerful storytelling that draws the viewer in.

At the center of the story is Kou Uraki, a young test pilot who has just graduated from Nijmegen Military Academy. His growth is a major attraction of the series, and while fighting as the pilot of the Gundam Prototype 1, he faces many challenges, but is shown growing as a man and as a pilot. In particular, the fate between him and Anavel Gato heightens the tension throughout the series, leaving a strong impression on viewers. Kou's character is one of the most human characters in the Gundam series, and his story of growth has resonated with many fans.

Also, don't miss his relationship with Nina Purpleton. She is an engineer at Anaheim Electronics, and is involved in the development of the Gundam Prototype 2. Kou and Nina's relationship depicts friendship and love on the battlefield, adding depth to the work. Nina's character combines the professionalism of an engineer with the fragility of a human being, and her presence further enhances Kou's growth.

Another attraction of this work is the quality of the mechanical design. The designs of the Gundam Prototype Unit 1 (GP01), Prototype Unit 2 (GP02A), and Prototype Unit 3 (GP03) are particularly highly regarded among the Gundam series. In particular, the design of the GP02A equipped with a nuclear warhead creates a visual impact and heightens the tension of the story. The participation of famous designers such as Shoji Kawamori and Hajime Katoki also guarantees the quality of the work.

The battle scenes are also not to be missed. In particular, the battle between the GP01 and GP02A combines visual beauty with strategic depth. Directors Mitsuko Kase and Takashi Imanishi have paid particular attention to the direction of the battle scenes, conveying a realistic sense of tension on the battlefield to the viewers. Music is also an important element in enhancing the atmosphere of the work, and Mitsuo Hagita's music further enhances the tension of the battle scenes. The opening themes "THE WINNER" and "MEN OF DESTINY", and the ending themes "MAGIC" and "Evergreen" are wonderful pieces that symbolize the theme of the work.

Not only the character development, but the overall theme of the work is profound. "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory" depicts the misery of war and human dignity. In particular, the rise of the Delaz Fleet and its aftermath symbolize the meaninglessness of war and the foolishness of humans. In addition, political elements such as the corruption within the Earth Federation Forces and the establishment of the Titans are also depicted, providing viewers with deep insight.

This work is highly recommended not only for fans of the Gundam series, but also for anyone interested in anime and science fiction. It is especially a must-see for fans of real robot anime. The depth of the story, the growth of the characters, and the spectacular battle scenes leave a strong impression on viewers, making them want to watch it again and again. In addition, the high-quality visuals and music that take advantage of the OVA format also enhance the appeal of the work.

"Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory" is one of the most highly acclaimed works in the Gundam series, and it's easy to see why. The depth of the story, the character development, and the spectacular battle scenes leave a strong impression on viewers, making them want to watch it again and again.
