story

The setting of "Momoko Sakura Theater Coji-Coji" is a mysterious world called "Fairy Tale Land." The characters who live in this land have a mission to entertain humans, and study at school by modeling themselves after famous characters who are active in the human world every day. The main character, Coji-Coji, is a mysterious space lifeform of unknown age and gender who belongs to the third grade Parakeet Class (Sekisei). Coji-Coji spends his days freely and unrestrainedly, sometimes surprising those around him with philosophical statements that hit the truth, and sometimes leaving his classmates dumbfounded with his silly lines. Coji-Coji has mysterious powers, such as knowing how to get to Earth and Fairy Tale Land, and being able to see through the true identity of a mysterious beauty on a crescent moon night. Coji-Coji's friends are also unique, and they live fun, warm, and happy lives every day.

Main Characters

Coji-Coji is a mysterious space lifeform of unknown age and gender. He has no home and no idea what his purpose is, but he plays with small animals on land and in the sea, sings songs he writes himself, and lives a carefree life. He is said to be a fine line between stupidity and innocence, or that he is just an idiot, but he doesn't seem to care. Jiro is a bird that can't fly, a fish that can't swim, half fish and half bird, who called him Jiro, and since he sits next to Coji-Coji, he is always the one who shows his natural sense of humor in response to Coji-Coji's off-putting lines. In fact, his mother is his biggest weakness. Kettle-kun is a member of the kettle family, and he loves Pero-chan. His special skill is boiling tea when he gets so excited. Kamekichi recognized the deliciousness of the tea, and the two of them formed a strong friendship. Kamekichi is a turtle spirit who loves the tea that Yakatsu-kun makes and pursues the way of tea. He is usually plain and inconspicuous, but when he gets really angry, his expression changes and he displays special powers. His special move is the other-dimensional killing technique "Turtle's Memories". Pero-chan is a particle of light, smart, humble, and a good girl who cares for others. She is loved as a central figure among the girls in her class. She is unaware of Yakatsu-kun's feelings for her, so her kindness is painful for Yakatsu-kun. Teruko is the most caring terubozu in the class and is good friends with Pero-chan and the rabbit Usako. She notices Yakatsu-kun's feelings for Pero-chan and secretly supports Yakatsu-kun. She is a truly brave girl. Geran is the king of the castle in the sun, admires Rumiko Takahashi, and has a hobby of collecting autographs of celebrities. He is weak to compliments, and his kind and innocent side is often exploited and deceived by the Bubi Bubi. He is one of the leaders of the class.
