Ojarumaru Series 1 - The Modern Life of an Elegant Fairy

"Ojarumaru" is an anime series that began airing on NHK Educational TV (NHK E-Tele) in October 1998. It is an original anime work by Inumaru Rin and directed by Daichi Heitarou. The first series consists of 90 episodes, airing for 10 minutes every Monday to Friday from 6:00 pm to 6:10 pm. Animation was produced by Studio Gyallop, production by NHK Enterprises, and copyright belongs to Inumaru Rin, NHK, and NEP.

story

The story of "Ojarumaru" centers around Ojarumaru, an elegant child who comes from the fairy world of Heiancho, a thousand years ago. Tired of his boring daily life and elegant studies, Ojarumaru happens to pick up King Enma's Shaku and comes to modern-day Gekkou Town. In Gekkou Town, Ojarumaru, who has a gentle personality and is a bit selfish, meets Kazuma and the Trio of Little Demons who have been chasing King Enma's Shaku, and causes a hilarious and lively commotion. Through his life in Gekkou Town, Ojarumaru is shown growing up while making new friends and gaining new experiences.

The cast includes a star-studded cast of voice actors, including Nishimura Chinami as Ojarumaru, Fuchizaki Yuriko as Kazuma, Sato Narumi as Denbo, Ichijo Kazuya as Aobee, Ueda Yuji as Kisuke, Minami Omi as Akane, Ueda Toshiya as Tommy, Koorogi Satomi as Ai-chan, Komura Tetsuo as King Enma, and Mitsuishi Kotono as Okamehime. These voice actors bring life to the characters and make the story more exciting.

Main Staff

The original story was written by Inumaru Rin, the director was Daichi Heitarou, the character designer was Watanabe Hajime, the art director was Nishikawa Junichiro, the cinematographer was Kazemura Hisao, the music was Yamamoto Harukichi, and the sound director was Tanaka Kazuya. The opening theme for series 1-10 was "Eijin" and for series 11 onwards it was "Yumejin", both sung by Kitajima Saburo. The ending theme for series 14 was "Hatsukoi wa Michiranai", sung by Ojarumaru Sisters. Animation was produced by Gyallop, the animation producer was Wakana Akio, and the production supervisors were Saito Kenji and Ito Daisuke.
