Review and Recommendation

"Space Pirate Mito's Great Adventure: Two Queens" is an anime series that aired in 1999. Since the original story is an original anime, there is a lot of freedom in the story development and character settings, making it a fascinating work that draws viewers in. This series is a sequel to the previous work "Space Pirate Mito's Great Adventure" and depicts the protagonist Aoi taking on new adventures and battles.

The story begins with the shocking development that Aoi, who saved Amanohara Town from a crisis, is transformed into a young girl. It is then revealed that Aoi is the heir to the throne of the Galaxy Planet royal family, and she must lead a double life, fulfilling her responsibilities as queen while also living the daily life of a high school girl. This setting provides fresh surprises for viewers, and the depiction of Aoi's growth and conflicts evokes deep emotions.

Particularly impressive is the appearance of Youdo, who calls herself the first queen of the Galaxy Planet royal family and is aiming for Aoi's position. Youdo's presence highlights Aoi's inner conflict and adds tension and drama to the story. The confrontation with Youdo is an important scene that symbolizes Aoi's growth and determination, and leaves a strong impression on viewers.

The cast is also impressive, with the performances of the voice actors, including Tomoko Kawakami as Mito, Soichiro Hoshi as Aoi, and Hiroko Konishi as Yodo, adding excitement to the story. In particular, the voice of Yuko Sasamoto, who plays Aoi as a child, warms the hearts of viewers and makes them feel Aoi's growth even more.

The main staff is also excellent, with professionals from various fields such as director Watanabe Takashi, series composer Shimo Fumihiko, and character designer Ishigami Reibanchi. In particular, the unique worldview of Kimura Hidefumi, who was in charge of the visual/story concept, has a charm that draws viewers in. In addition, the designs of mechanic designers Itano Ichiro and Kawahara Tomohiro are a perfect fit for the space pirate theme, providing visual enjoyment.

The subtitles for each episode also depict different themes, drawing the viewer's interest. In particular, episode 5, "The Space War Has Begun!" and episode 8, "The Queen of Rage!" are important episodes that build up excitement for the story's climax, and leave a strong impression on viewers.

The theme songs are also wonderful, with the opening theme "COSMIC LOVE" and the ending theme "Maaru I Sora" being important elements in enhancing the atmosphere of the story. Aya's singing voice in particular draws the viewer's attention and adds depth to the worldview of the story. In addition, Ito Masumi's "Maaru I Sora" has a gentle melody that reflects Aoi's feelings and soothes the viewer's heart.

This work is based on the theme of space pirates and is a moving story that depicts Aoi's growth and struggles. It is a work that will give viewers fresh surprises and deep emotions, and is especially recommended for teenagers and anime fans. It can also be enjoyed by the whole family, making it a work that will be loved by a wide range of people.

Furthermore, this work is visually beautiful and has wonderful music. The beautiful character and mechanic designs, as well as the appealing theme song, are important elements that draw the viewer in. This is a work that should be watched by anyone who is interested in the theme of space pirates or who wants a moving story.

Finally, this is a wonderful anime series that offers new perspectives and emotions to the viewers. Through Aoi's growth and struggles, and her confrontation with Yodo, viewers will be deeply moved and have new discoveries. Please watch this series and experience its charm for yourself.
