■ Story

Gon, a cheerful and inquisitive boy, decides to become a "hunter" and leaves his hometown, Whale Island.
Hunters are specialists who make a living by exploring all kinds of unknown things in this world, and in order to obtain a license they must pass an extremely difficult exam.
Gon takes the exam to follow in the footsteps of his missing father, Ging, who was once known as a great hunter. While Gon gains unique companions such as Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua who take the exam with him, he also encounters a formidable opponent, Hisoka.
