Denbo is Ojarumaru's caretaker and the 30th born insect friend of the Densho Botaru Clan. He travels between Gekkou Town and the Heian period, and also serves as a messenger to deliver messages from his father and mother. He falls in love easily, but has fallen in love more than 300 times. He has a bad drinking habit and complains a lot when he's drunk, but he's good at impersonations and loves rice balls.

He was a troublemaker, but he respects King Enma. Kisuke is 5 years old and has a talent for singing, and can write haiku and waka poems, as well as lyrics and composition.
