Ryusei Sentai Musumet - A story of battle and love between charming heroines"Ryusei Sentai Musumet" aired in 2004 as a TV anime series on Chiba TV every Sunday night. Although it was a short 13-episode series, it had a dense story and featured unique characters. This anime is an original work by Mutsuki Juzo. It was directed by Kimiya Shigeru, animated by TNK, and produced by the "Musumet" Production Committee (Twomax, Prime Direction, Pony Canyon, Pony Canyon Enterprises). The copyright belongs to Wonderfarm. storyThe story of "Ryusei Sentai Musumet" begins with seven meteors that flew to Earth from space. Each of these meteors was colored in seven different colors, and possessed the terrifying power to materialize the desires of anyone who picked them up and transform them into a monster. Dr. Sanshiki and Dr. Kishida secretly obtained three of these meteors - Red, Green, and Blue - and after some research, developed a special helmet that succeeded in controlling the power of the meteors. This helmet, named "Musumet," was about the size of a motorcycle helmet, and had the ability to transform a person's head into the strongest body on Earth when worn, as well as the ability to receive signals from the brain and infinitely amplify the person's natural strength and abilities. Dr. Sanshiki and Dr. Kishida established a secret organization called "MET" to protect world peace and prevent damage from the remaining colored meteors by utilizing the power of "Musumet". However, Dr. Sanshiki passed away before he could achieve his goal. Dr. Sanshiki's beloved daughters, Aoi, Midori, and Kurenai, decided to follow their father's will and become "Musumet". Even when they transform, only their heads (helmets), hands (gloves), and feet (boots) change, so they inevitably scramble to the scene of the crime in their own costumes when they transform. The three "Musumet" scramble to the scene of the crime sometimes in "sailor suits", sometimes in "bloomers", sometimes in "school swimsuits", and sometimes even naked, and should be very active, but... they are of marriageable age. When they take off their helmets, they are just ordinary girls who long for a wonderful love, and are currently looking for a boyfriend. A wonderful boyfriend and a champion of justice. Evaluation and Impressions"Ryusei Sentai Musumetto" was a very fascinating work despite its short broadcast period. The characterization of the three Sanshoku sisters was particularly excellent, and their personalities enriched the story. Each character is well-defined, with Kurenai's hot-bloodedness, Midori's calmness, and Aoi's big sisterly side, drawing viewers in. Also, the setting in which the girls rush to the scene of an incident in their own costumes even after transforming is a unique element that sets it apart from other Sentai shows. The story follows the classic Sentai formula, with the introduction of "Musumetto" who controls the power of meteors and the establishment of the secret organization "MET", but the inclusion of a romantic element makes it fresh. While the three Sanshoku sisters fight as allies of justice, they are also portrayed as ordinary girls struggling with love, evoking sympathy from viewers. The final episode in particular depicts the growth and determination of the three sisters, bringing them to a moving finale. The cast is also impressive, with Ayano Matsumoto, Chiaki Osawa, and Akiko Kawase playing the three sisters, as well as Masumi Asano, Atsuko Enomoto, and Haruko Momoi playing the three Saotome sisters. In particular, the ending theme "Musumegokoro☆Otomegokoro", written and composed by Haruko Momoi, is a song that symbolizes the theme of the work and resonates in the hearts of viewers. The main staff, including Director Shigeru Kimiya, character designer Masaharu Hara, and composer Ryo Sakai, are professionals in various fields, and they have brought high quality to the work. In particular, Masaharu Hara's character design has created visuals of the three sisters that combine cuteness and strength, enhancing the visual appeal. Recommended pointsThe reasons why we recommend "Ryusei Sentai Musumet" are as follows:
"Ryusei Sentai Musumetto" is a unique work that combines the Sentai series with a romantic element. Although it was only broadcast for a short time, it is packed with characters and a story that left a strong impression on viewers. This is a work that I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes Sentai and heroine stories. |
