■ Story

A huge Grand Black Hole is about to swallow the entire universe, including the Transformers' home planet, Cybertron. While Galaxy Convoy and his team search for a solution, the Transformers escape the planet that is beginning to collapse and infiltrate Earth as "disguised robots"...
There, he meets an ancient Transformer named Vector Prime, who tells him about the existence of the "Planet Force," an ancient relic that can reset an entire planet and was thought to have been lost thousands of years ago when Cybertronian explorers failed to build a space bridge to the edge of the universe.
Galaxy Convoy and his team of Cybertron warriors embark on a grand adventure across the vast universe to search for Planet Force, which will awaken the ancient warrior Primus and save the universe.
Master Megatron and his men, who plan to use this power to rule the entire universe, relentlessly interfere with Galaxy Convoy and his companions' whereabouts... Will Galaxy Convoy and his companions be able to obtain Planet Force in the end?

Transformers Galaxy Force - Detailed Review and Recommendation

The Transformers series continues to be loved around the world as an animated series derived from a toy series that began in 1984. Among them, "Transformers: Galaxy Force" is a Japanese original work that was broadcast in 2005 and is positioned as the final chapter of the Unicron (Micron) trilogy. This work is a new challenge for the Transformers drawn in full CG, depicting adventures and battles set in a spectacular universe.

Story and worldview

The story of "Galaxy Force" is that the Transformers escape their home planet, Cybertron, and infiltrate Earth as a giant grand black hole threatens to swallow the entire universe. Galaxy Convoy and his friends learn of the existence of "Planet Force" from the ancient Transformer Vector Prime, and set out on a journey to find it. Planet Force is an ancient relic that can reset planets, and it is said that obtaining its power can save the universe. However, Master Megatron and his minions get in the way of obtaining this power, making Galaxy Convoy's adventure extremely difficult.

The world view of this work is completely new and has no direct connection to the previous works "Micron Legend" and "Super Link". The story progresses on three planets, Earth, Planet Speedia, and Planet Animatros, and the setting in which the leaders of each planet call themselves Convoys gives a sense of new development while respecting the traditions of the series. In addition, the full CG depiction of the Transformers sets it apart from conventional animation and creates a visual impact.

Characters and cast

"Galaxy Force" features many fascinating characters. The protagonist, Galaxy Convoy, is voiced by Kusunoki Daisuke, and embodies the sense of responsibility and courage of a leader. The villain, Master Megatron, is played by Nakata Jouji, and his ambition and ruthlessness are beautifully expressed. Additionally, the leaders of each planet, Nitro Convoy, Flame Convoy, and Live Convoy, are each portrayed as unique characters, adding excitement to the story.

In addition, many other unique characters such as Dreadlock, Liger Jack, and Starscream appear, and the voice actors for each character give excellent performances. In particular, the presence of the voice actor who is in charge of the narration and Vector Prime contributes to the depth of the story.

Production and Technology

"Galaxy Force" is animated by GONZO, and is characterized by its full CG depiction of the Transformers. Under the direction of General Director Hiroyuki Kakudo and Director Manabu Ono, many staff members, including 3D General Director Sadanori Kaneda and 3D Assistant Director Kazuhira Tanaka, cooperated to complete the film. In particular, under the guidance of transformation animation advisors Tetsuya Watanabe and Mamoru Yasuhiko, the Transformers' transformation scenes are depicted realistically and dynamically.

The music is also an important element in enhancing the appeal of the work. The music composed by Megumi Ohashi heightens the tension of the adventures and battles, drawing the viewer into the world of the story. The opening themes "CALL YOU... Your and My Future" and "IGNITION!", as well as the ending themes "Always" and "GROWING UP!!", each have a melody that matches the respective scene, enhancing the atmosphere of the work.

Ratings and Recommendations

"Transformers: Galaxy Force" brings out new appeal in the Transformers series with its new full CG expression and a story set in a magnificent universe. In particular, the adventures and battles on each planet, and the conflict between Galaxy Convoy and Master Megatron over Planet Force are elements that attract viewers. In addition, the unique characters and the performances of the voice actors also enhance the appeal of the work.

This work is recommended not only for fans of the Transformers series, but also for viewers who enjoy CG animation and sci-fi action. In particular, it is a must-watch for those looking for a work depicting an epic adventure and battle set in space. Also, by watching the related works "Micron Legend" and "Super Link" together, you will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the world of the Transformers series.

"Galaxy Force" is a new challenge for the Transformers series, and its success has influenced subsequent works. The full CG representation of the Transformers has a visual impact and provides new excitement to viewers. Please try to discover the new charm of Transformers through this work.
