Mobile Shinsengumi Moeyoken TV - Detailed Review and Recommendation

"Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken TV" is a 13-episode TV anime series that aired in 2005 and is based on a PS2 game. It features a stellar staff including Hiroi Oji as the original author, Tokoro Toshikatsu as director, and Takahashi Rumiko as character designer. The anime is set in Meiji-era Kyoto, depicting a world where humans and authorized monsters coexist, and the story revolves around Sakamoto Ryunosuke, the son of Sakamoto Ryoma.

Story and setting

The story of "Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyoken TV" centers on Sakamoto Ryunosuke, who returns from Shanghai and struggles to turn around the business of Kidou Shinsengumi Co., Ltd., where his mother Oryo is the president. The members of the Shinsengumi are the descendants of historical figures, such as Kondo Isako, daughter of Kondo Isako, Hijikata Toshie, daughter of Hijikata Toshizo, and Okita Kaoru, daughter of Okita Souji. They capture unauthorized monsters and work to maintain peace.

One of the charms of this work is the fusion of historical background and fantasy elements. The fictional world of Meiji Shin-Kyoto skillfully incorporates fantasy elements such as monsters and spirits while maintaining the historical image of the Shinsengumi. This allows viewers to feel a sense of fresh surprise and nostalgia at the same time. Also, different monsters and incidents appear in each episode, adding variety and depth to the story.

character

Each character in "Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken TV" is unique and charming. The main character, Sakamoto Ryunosuke, is a hot-blooded man who returns to Japan to help his mother's company, and is accompanied by a mysterious monster named Nekomaru. Kondo Yuko has a hobby of collecting famous swords and is in debt, but she shows leadership as a hot-blooded man. Hijikata Toshie is quiet and indifferent, but she also has an intelligent side. Okita Kaoru is a mood maker, a character who is selfish but charming.

These characters are depicted with modern elements, while still taking advantage of their background as descendants of historical Shinsengumi members. In particular, the weapons and abilities of each character add color to the story and draw the viewer in. For example, Kondo Yuko's sacred sword, Hijikata Toshie's dual pistols, and Okita Kaoru's Shikigami not only liven up the battle scenes, but also serve to highlight the individuality of each character.

Animation and Music

Animation production is handled by TriNet Entertainment and Picture Magic, with the cooperation of Rikuen Tai. Character design and general animation director is Kazuo Takigawa, color design is Haruko Nobori, cinematography is Toshihiro Watase, editing is Terumitsu Okada, and sound direction is Kazuhiko Inoue. The animation, created by this team of staff, is visually enjoyable, with detailed character movements and expressions.

The music is by Noriyasu Agematsu and produced by Lantis. The opening theme, "Jidai no Musou Hana," is sung by Hiromi Sato, with lyrics by Aki Hata, music by Masatomo Ota, and arrangement by Jin Fujima. The ending theme, "Hajimari no Kaze yo Fuke," is sung by Misato Fujiya, with lyrics, music, and arrangement by Shinji Tamura. These songs not only add to the atmosphere of the story, but also have memorable melodies that will stay with viewers.

Ratings and Recommendations

"Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken TV" features a unique worldview that combines history and fantasy, attractive characters, and beautiful animation and music. Although it is a short series of 13 episodes, different monsters and incidents appear in each episode, so viewers will not get bored. In addition, the story depicts the growth of Sakamoto Ryunosuke and his bond with the Shinsengumi members, making it easy for viewers to empathize with the story.

I would especially recommend this work to viewers who are fans of history and fantasy, as well as those who are interested in the personalities and relationships of the characters, and who enjoy beautiful animation and music. Furthermore, those who have played the original game will be able to enjoy new aspects of the characters and the development of the story.

"Mobile Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken TV" is a work that will provide viewers with new surprises and excitement, and is definitely worth watching at least once. See for yourself how Ryunosuke Sakamoto and the members of the Shinsengumi struggle in a world where history and fantasy intersect.
