■ Main Characters

Mister is a first-class criminal, and is highly respected not only by the Coyotes, but also by the Unified Government and the Criminal Guild. However, to Franca, who dotes on him like a daughter and a little lover, even the legendary criminal seems insignificant.
・Franka The only daughter of Mister's best friend, the pirate king Bruce. Having lost her father at a young age, she is always searching for an "ideal father figure." She has feelings for Mister that are both fatherly and romantic.
Bishop: A man who can win over anyone with his natural good looks and eloquence. He has a long history of fraud. He is the epitome of "carelessness," and when the situation changes, he will return to his betrayed friends without a second thought.
A genius driver who can drive anything with a Katana engine perfectly. He's blunt and clumsy, but also good at fighting. However, he hates to lose, and his simple personality makes him quite lovable, as he gets into serious arguments with Franca.
Angelica is an investigator for the Galactic Federation Police. She is always talking. She is in relentless pursuit of the coyote "Mister".
Chelsea: A female police officer with an outstanding memory despite her unreliable literacy. It is unclear whether she is a natural or strong-willed person, but she does have some problems. She adores Angelica.
Marciano: A merchant of death who operates behind the scenes in the war between the Galactic Unified Government Army and the Colonial Liberation Army. He is an executive of the criminal group Criminal Guild. He is the one who drove the pirate king Bruce to his death. He uses a special unit called the 12 Sisters to bury troublesome beings in the darkness.

COYOTE Ragtime Show - Detailed Review and Recommendation

"COYOTE Ragtime Show" is an original anime produced by ufotable that aired in 2006, depicting an adventure involving pirates and heritage. This work has gained many fans due to its unique world view and the charm of its characters. Below, we will provide a detailed review and recommendation of this work.

Story and worldview

The story of "COYOTE Ragtime Show" revolves around an adventure to get the 10 billion space dollars inherited by the pirate king Bruce. The main characters continue their journey to get the inheritance that lies dormant on the planet Graceland, but they face various obstacles and hostile forces along the way. In particular, the conflict with the group of assassins led by Marciano heightens the tension of the story and draws the viewers in.

The worldview of this work is a sci-fi action set in space, but what makes it unique is that it skillfully incorporates the theme of pirates. Pirates are generally associated with the sea, but this work is set in space and depicts spaceships and interplanetary travel. Furthermore, the free-spirited lifestyle of the pirates and their conflict with organizations such as the Unified Government and the Criminal Guild add depth to the story.

character

Each character in "COYOTE Ragtime Show" has a unique and appealing character. The relationship between Mister and Franka in particular is the core of the story and leaves a strong impression on viewers. Although Mister is a first-class criminal, he has a fatherly affection for Franka, and this contrast makes his character fascinating. Meanwhile, Franka is a girl who lost her father at a young age, and has complicated emotions; while she seeks a fatherly figure from Mister, she also has some romantic feelings for him.

The other characters are also charming in their own way. Bishop is a conman, but he has the ability to adapt flexibly to the situation, adding humor to the story. Katana is a genius driver, but her clumsy and awkward personality makes her a lovable character. Angelica and Chelsea appear as investigators of the Galaxy Federation Police, and while they pursue the Coyotes, their own humanity is also depicted. Marciano appears as the story's antagonist, and stands in the way of the Coyotes as the one who drove the Pirate King Bruce to his death.

Animation and Music

The animation by ufotable is of high quality, especially the mechanical design and effects work. Takahashi Satoshi's mechanical design realistically depicts the spaceships and battle scenes, enhancing the visual appeal. Kobayashi Toji's effects work effectively directs the battle scenes and special effects, enhancing the excitement of the viewer.

Music is also an important element in enhancing the appeal of this work. The music by Koichiro Kameyama not only enhances the atmosphere of the story, but also plays a role in expressing the emotions of the characters. In particular, the opening theme "COYOTE" and the ending theme "Fading Memories" have impressive lyrics and melodies that reflect the theme of the story, making them songs that will stay in the hearts of viewers.

Recommendation

"COYOTE Ragtime Show" is a work that skillfully combines the themes of sci-fi action and pirates, and is an appealing work with unique characters, high-quality animation, and music. It is especially recommended for those who like pirates and adventure stories set in space. It is also a work that can be enjoyed by those who are interested in the characters' relationships and psychological portrayals.

Although this work is compact with only 12 episodes, the story development and character growth are well depicted, so viewers will not get bored. In addition, ufotable's high-quality animation and music will entertain you visually and aurally. Please give it a watch.
