Angelique in Love: A Bright Tomorrow Review and Recommendation

"Angelique: The Bright Tomorrow" is a TV anime series that aired in 2007 and is based on the Koei game. This anime is a sequel to "Angelique: The Bright Tomorrow" and has a deeper story and character development. Below, we will provide a detailed review and recommendation of this work.

story

The setting of "Angelique: A Bright Tomorrow" is two universes ruled by one queen: the "Divine Bird's Universe" and the "Holy Beast's Universe." The "Divine Bird's Universe" is a mature, prosperous and peaceful world, protected by the queen and her nine guardian saints. Meanwhile, the "Holy Beast's Universe" is a newborn universe that does not yet have a guardian saint and is supported by the queen alone. However, a terrible crisis is approaching the "Holy Beast's Universe."

The main character, Enju, is a 17-year-old girl who is suddenly chosen one day to become the "Legendary Etoile." Her mission is to save the "Universe of the Sacred Beasts" and give birth to the nine guardian saints. Enju, who is lonely and does not know love, is supported by her charming guardian saints and becomes more positive as she devotes herself to her mission. The story also depicts a bittersweet romance between her and the guardian saints and the mysterious young man, Arios.

However, in the battle to protect the "Universe of the Sacred Beasts," the "Spirit of Sacria" stands in their way, threatening to destroy humanity. Although they manage to defeat the spirit with the combined force of everyone's will, Enju is unable to return to his home universe, and is left behind in the faraway "Universe of the Sacred Beasts." This story depicts Enju's moving journey to fulfill his new mission in a new universe.

character

The appeal of this work lies above all in its unique characters. The main character, Enju, is a lonely girl who doesn't know love at first, but she grows through her encounters and interactions with the guardian saints. Her purity and strength deeply move the viewer.

The guardian saints of "The Universe of Sacred Beasts" are also attractive in their own way. The guardian saint of light, Leonard, is an egocentric and arrogant young man, but somehow he has a lovable personality and is excellent in intelligence and physical ability. The guardian saint of darkness, Francis, is an aristocratic young man who captivates women with his sweet smile and elegant words and actions, but he hides a deep darkness in his heart. The guardian saint of wind, Yui, is a wild, generous and pure young man with a manly and old-fashioned way of thinking. The guardian saint of water, Timka, is a polite, honest and considerate young man who is a hard worker. The guardian saint of fire, Charlie, is a cheerful and friendly young man who speaks in Kansai dialect and is a mood maker. The guardian saint of green, Seiran, is a sarcastic young man with sharp eyes that see through people, and lives freely without being bound by common sense. The guardian saint of steel, Ernst, is a former elite scientist, a young man who loves space and is loyal to his duties. Mel, the Patron Saint of Dreams, is a young man from the Fire Dragon tribe who combines boyishness with mystical powers, and is sensitive and easily hurt. Victor, the Patron Saint of Earth, is a former general with a dignified physique and strong mental strength, and has a friendly personality without any pretense. And Arios, the Shadow who serves the Queen of the Sacred Beasts, is a cool young man who is unsociable but has a genuine personality and can be honest with you.

The patron saints of the "Universe of the Divine Bird" are also attractive. Julius, the patron saint of light, is a noble soul and the head patron saint who is passionately loyal to the queen. Clavis, the patron saint of darkness, is a solitary presence with a mysterious aura that keeps others away. Randy, the patron saint of wind, is a good-looking young man with a refreshing smile who is good at all sports. Lumiere, the patron saint of water, is a young man with a smile that heals people and loves music and painting. Oscar, the patron saint of fire, is a knight loyal to the queen, but is also the most playboy in the Holy Land. Marcel, the patron saint of green, is the youngest patron saint, a kind-hearted boy who loves flowers and animals. Zepher, the patron saint of steel, is a boy who cannot adapt to his position as a patron saint and rebels. Olivier, the patron saint of dreams, is a seeker of beauty who enjoys life freely and at his own pace. Luva, the guardian saint of the earth, is the source of wisdom for the holy land, spending her days buried in books. The Queen of the Divine Birds is a bright and lively queen who rules over a rich and mature universe, and her assistant, Rosalia, is a smart and intelligent older sister you can rely on.
