■ Story

"A man who speaks the same words as me.
I couldn't take my eyes off it until the water blocked my view.

In 1862, the British Embassy was burned down by Takasugi Shinsaku and others from Choshu.
Touma Kusaka, a samurai of the Choshu clan and an advocate of opening Japan to the outside world, tried to stop Takasugi and his men's violent actions, but it was too late; the embassy was engulfed in flames.
When Kusaka was unable to escape in time and was chased by the townspeople, he met the man of his destiny, Keiichiro Akizuki.
Akizuki, a shogunate official who was supposed to be Kusaka's arch enemy, let Kusaka escape by saying, "We cannot afford to cause chaos in the country now.We need to be on an equal footing with foreign countries as we move towards opening up the country."
A few years later, Kusaka meets Akizuki again by chance.
The two were arch enemies, the Choshu clan and the shogunate.
As they spend time together avoiding the public eye, the two gradually become attracted to each other...
