Meg was taking care of Shirley and three other small children in the same situation, but an incident led to her meeting Jo. After that, Shirley and the others were adopted by Sam, a police officer with a strong sense of justice, and they were supposed to be living a fairly happy life.

Meg and Joe earn some money by helping others, buy a present for Shirley, and visit Sam at the precinct. However, something seems a bit strange about Sam. Suspicious, the two question him, and Sam tells them that Shirley was attacked by a murderer and seriously injured. To a saddened and angry Meg, Joe says, "Let's avenge Shirley!"

But at that time, the murderer's evil hand was gradually creeping up on the two of them. A cold, black gaze stares at Joe and Meg... And a dark conspiracy threatens to cover them, Sam, and the whole town!
