Sakura Wars: New York was released as an OVA in 2007 and was jointly produced by Sega and Pony Canyon. Shinjiro Ogawa, captain of the New York Kagekidan Star Troupe, and his comrades have finished their battle with Nobunaga and are preparing for the stage performance of "Cleopatra". However, a new enemy appears before them. Will the Star Troupe be able to protect New York and open the curtains on the play?

The story follows the New York Kagekidan members as they battle new enemies while deepening their bonds. Shinjiro's growth and the bond he shares with the members of the Star Troupe are vividly depicted through the performance of "Cleopatra."

The protagonist, Shinjiro Okawa, is the captain of the New York Kagekidan Star Troupe and a young naval lieutenant with the heart of a samurai. Originally from Japan, he excels in both the arts and martial arts, is straightforward and has a strong sense of responsibility. He naturally lends a helping hand to those around him, and has even performed on stage cross-dressing under the actress name Petit Mint.

Gemini Sunrise is a cheerful and energetic cowgirl from Texas. She learned swordsmanship from her master Mifune, and her skills are on par with Shinjiro's. She also has a strong admiration for Japanese culture and samurai, but she has a tendency to get lost in delusions.

He is skilled in Noh and Japanese dance, and has genius talent in everything, but he also has a side to him that doesn't show his emotions. He is a former member of the European Star Troupe.

The spiritual armor "Star" used by the New York Kagekidan Star Troupe is equipped with a transformation mechanism not found in Koubu and other units, allowing it to transform from an air combat form (fighter) to a land combat form (humanoid).
