Examrai Sengoku - Review

"Examrai Sengoku," which aired in 2009, is an original anime work planned and drafted by EXILE's HIRO and Makoto Matsuda, with character design by Hiroshi Takahashi. The story is set in the golden city of Yasaka, and depicts the battles between samurai as various forces intertwine. Below, we will explain in detail the appeal and features of this work, as well as the points that we recommend to viewers.

Story and setting

The setting of "Examrai Sengoku" is the golden city of Yasaka, which prospers through trade with other countries. However, contrary to its glitzy surface, the underworld is a lawless area teeming with thugs. The protagonist, Nori, tries to steal money from the Oniga Clan and escape from Yasaka, but meets a man named Hiro at sea. Hiro defeats the Oniga Clan with overwhelming strength, and the story gradually becomes embroiled in a power struggle within Yasaka.

The appeal of this work lies above all in its unique worldview and character settings. Set in the fictional city of Yasaka, the battles unfolding among the various forces have the power to draw viewers in. The characters also have rich personalities, and Hiro's overwhelming strength and charisma are particularly not to be missed.

character

Each character in "Examrai Sengoku" has a strong personality. The main character, Nori, is a young man who is disgusted with Yasaka's lawless world and tries to escape. His drive and courage drive the story. Meanwhile, Hiro is a mysterious man with a sword on his back who captivates viewers with his overwhelming strength and charisma. Furthermore, characters such as Makidai and Atsushi are also unique, adding depth to the story.

The cast is also impressive, with the voice actors, including Toru Inada as Hiro and Hiroki Tanaka as Atsushi, giving impressive performances. Their voices bring the characters to life and make the story feel even more real.

Animation and Music

The animation for "Examurai Sengoku" is handled by TMS Entertainment. Character design is by Masaki Sato, sub-character design by Shingo Ishikawa, and the animation directors are Shingo Ishikawa and Minefumi Harada. The animation quality is high, and the battle scenes are particularly impressive. The action scenes using swords are realistic and have the power to draw the viewer in.

Music is also an important element, and is handled by Ken Harada. The background music enhances the atmosphere of the story and stirs the emotions of the viewer. Additionally, sound effects are handled by Emi Takanashi, further enhancing the impact of the battle scenes.

Recommendation points for viewers

"EXILE Sengoku" is a work that I would especially recommend to those who like samurai anime. Its unique worldview, distinctive characters, and powerful battle scenes are its attractions. It is also a work that EXILE fans cannot miss, and another point to note is that HIRO was involved in the planning and drafting of the original work.

Furthermore, since this is an original anime, you can enjoy a free-flowing storyline without being bound by the original. The storytelling that keeps viewers engaged and the battles that unfold one after the other are the highlights.
