Detailed reviews and ratings

The movie "Doraemon: Nobita and the New Steel Troops - Winged Angels" is a remake of the popular "Nobita and the Steel Troops" from the Doraemon series, and new characters and story developments have been added. Below, we will provide a detailed review and evaluation of the story, characters, visuals, music, theme, etc.

story

The story of this film begins when Nobita discovers parts for a giant robot and a blue sphere in the North Pole. The parts fall one after another into the garden, guided by the blue sphere. This fantastical development not only stimulates children's imaginations, but is also full of elements that adults can enjoy. The scene where Doraemon and Nobita assemble the robot "Zandacross" in the mirror world is full of technical excitement and a sense of adventure.

However, the core of the story is the serious plot of Lilulu and Zandacross, who were sent from the robot planet "Mechatopia," and are trying to conquer the Earth. This part depicts friendship, trust, and the fight to protect the Earth, and although it is a children's anime, it deals with deep themes. In particular, the process in which Lilulu's view of humans changes is moving and gives the viewer a lot to think about.

The story unfolds smoothly and at a good pace, while the character growth and changes in relationships are carefully depicted. The climax battle scene is powerful and visually impactful, but the message that friendship and cooperation ultimately bring victory is clearly conveyed.

character

In addition to the main characters of the Doraemon series, many new characters appear in this work. Lilulu and Pippo in particular have a strong presence and play an important role in livening up the story.

Doraemon is portrayed supporting Nobita while also demonstrating leadership at times. Nobita shows courage as he stands up to protect the Earth, showing his growth. Shizuka plays an important role in moving the story forward with her kindness and insight towards Lilulu, and Gian and Suneo also play active roles by making the most of their respective strengths.

The new character, Lillu, is initially hostile towards humans, but it is moving to see her open up as she is nursed by Shizuka. Pippo is transformed into a chick-shaped robot by the brain of Zandacross, and the story depicts the process of her changing her view of humans as she interacts with Nobita and his friends. The growth and change of these characters adds depth to the story.

picture

In terms of visuals, Shinei Animation's technical capabilities are fully demonstrated. The depiction of the mirror world, the robot designs, the powerful battle scenes, and other visual attractions are plentiful. In particular, the designs of Zanda Cross and the Steel Troops are of a quality that will not only capture the hearts of children, but can also be enjoyed by adults.

The detailed backgrounds and artwork are also very well-crafted, enriching the world of the story. The backdrops of each scene, from the arctic landscape to the city of Mechatopia, help to set the tone of the story.

music

The music was composed by Kan Sawada, and many emotional songs were used to match the story. In particular, the ending theme "Tomodachi no Uta" (Song of Friends) by Bump of Chicken resonates with viewers with its lyrics and melody that symbolize the story's theme of friendship.

In the film, background music that heightens the tension and music that enhances moving scenes are used effectively, helping to advance the story. The fusion of music and images enriches the viewing experience.

theme

The themes of this film are friendship, trust, and the fight to protect the Earth. The process in which Lilulu and Pippo change their views of humans teaches us the importance of coexistence and understanding with different beings. In addition, the way Nobita and his friends work together to protect the Earth conveys the importance of teamwork and courage.

Furthermore, even though the story is aimed at children, it also contains elements that make you think about the global environment and peace. In the background of the robot planet "Mechatopia" trying to conquer the Earth, there are conflicts over resources and territory, which reflect the problems of modern society. These themes are thought-provoking not only for children but also for adults.

Recommendations and ratings

The Doraemon movie "Nobita and the New Steel Troops: Winged Angels" is recommended not only for fans of the Doraemon series, but also for those who are watching Doraemon for the first time. Although the story is aimed at children, it deals with deep themes, and the growth of the characters and changes in their relationships are carefully depicted. The quality of the images and music is also high, making it a movie that can be enjoyed both visually and aurally.

In particular, the characters Lilulu and Pippo play an important role in adding excitement to the story, and their growth and change is moving. Also, watching Nobita and his friends work together to protect the Earth teaches us the importance of friendship and trust. The ending theme, "Tomodachi no Uta," also strikes a chord with viewers, with lyrics and a melody that symbolize the theme of the story.

Overall, the story, characters, visuals, music, and theme all receive high marks. It is a work that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from children to adults, so I highly recommend watching it at least once.
