story

The story centers around Ballot, a young prostitute who becomes embroiled in the crimes of the gambler Shell, and Ufcock, an all-purpose weapon and commissioned case officer. The two come face to face with Boiled, a man who once abused Ufcock and committed all manner of murder. Paradise, which Ufcock visits with the Doctor when he is on his last legs, is an experimental facility for research into life. There, Ballot meets Faceman, one of the three doctors who saved Ufcock's life and built the facility, and learns about Paradise's past.

Ufcock is brought back to life by the technology of "Paradise," and Ballot apologizes to Ufcock for "abusing" him. Ufcock also apologizes for putting Ballot in danger due to his own lack of ability, and the bond between the two of them grows even stronger. It turns out that Shell's transferred memories are hidden inside a million-dollar chip at the casino he runs, and Ballot decides to obtain the chip in order to expose Shell's crimes. After receiving intensive training from the Doctor, Ballot learns the true essence of how to win games at the casino and steadily increases his funds, but he finds himself facing off against Bell Wing, a legendary female roulette spinner.
