The Suicide Squad is 2 hours and 12 minutes long and may not have a director's cut

Recently, director James Gunn confirmed on Twitter that his "The Suicide Squad" is 2 hours and 12 minutes long, making it the fourth short film in the DCEU. The film will be released in theaters in North America on August 6 and will be released on HBO MAX streaming media.

Previously, Gunn also tweeted that "no one planned" to make the movie very long, he just did the best he could to piece the movie together and this is his ending. On the bright side, it doesn't sound like there will be a "Guardian Cut" of The Suicide Squad, as the length of the movie is exactly what the director wanted, and he doesn't need to re-edit it to make the producers happy.

They walked through the jungle, which was full of hostile forces and armed mercenaries in every corner. The commandos were accompanied by Colonel Rick and led by him to carry out the search and destroy mission. Amanda Waller's men monitored them through headphones and kept a close eye on them throughout the process.

As always, one wrong move would mean they would be wiped out, whether by the enemy, their own teammates, or Waller himself, and if there was a real chance of winning, the wise bet would be to bet on their defeat and total annihilation.
