The live-action movie "Rurouni Kenshin The Final/The Beginning" starring Takeru Sato will be released on April 23rd as "Rurouni Kenshin The Final" and on June 4th as "Rurouni Kenshin The Beginning". "Rurouni Kenshin The Final" will be based on the last story of the original work, "The Human Death Arc", while "Rurouni Kenshin The Beginning" will be based on the original work's "Memories Arc". It tells the story of Kenshin Himura (played by Takeru Sato), the protagonist who "killed without blinking an eye" in the last years of the shogunate. After the Meiji Restoration, he vowed "no more killing" and made up his mind to start a wandering life.
