'Ghostbusters' director Ivan Reitman dies at 75

According to foreign media reports, Ivan Reitman, the director famous for directing "Ghostbusters", died at his home in California, USA on February 12, US time, at the age of 75. In addition to "Ghostbusters", his representative directorial works include "Kindergarten Cop", "Six Days, Seven Nights", "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" and "Draft Day".

• Ivan Reitman was born on October 27, 1946 in Komarno, Slovakia. Both his parents were Jewish. The family fled to Canada as refugees in 1950. He started working in the Canadian television industry in the 1960s and entered the film industry in the 1970s. He became famous in Hollywood through "Ghostbusters" in 1984, and directed comedy films such as "Son of the Dragon", "Ghostbusters 2" and "Kindergarten Cop".
