P1S concept version of the new EVA Unit 13 statue is priced at $1,599

Recently, the famous model manufacturer Prime1Studio launched a new product, a non-proportional statue of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" EVA Unit 13 designed by JOSH NIZZI. It is priced at US$1,599 (approximately RMB 10,200) and is expected to be shipped from September to December 2022.

Compared with the previously launched UDMEVA-04 Unit-13, this new version has been transformed into a brand new look by JOSH NIZZI! The universal humanoid decisive weapon EVANGELION Unit-13 made its debut in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo Evangelion directed by Hideaki Anno. Its exterior design is similar to Unit-01; its interior is a two-seat design that can insert two plugs at the same time, and is piloted by Shinji and Kaoru.

Unit 13 is almost out of control and is standing on the wreckage of Unit 6. The entire statue, including the base, is about 79 cm high! In addition to the overall concept design, JOSH NIZZI has added new elements to Unit 13, including the head shape, body panels, and armor color. In order to highlight Unit 13's out-of-control state, our sculpture team equipped his four eyes with LED lights to highlight his loss of control and madness.

The development team fully grasped the characteristics of Unit-13 and carefully restored various details, including: dark purple metal armor, cross design on the chest and sharp corners on the head. In order to make Unit-13, which is originally a two-dimensional existence, into a three-dimensional existence, we used the painting process to the extreme. For example, fluorescent paint, dark wash and realistic aging treatment are used to make the body look more realistic. The two key weapons in the movie, the Lance of Longinus and the Lance of Cassius, are made of translucent resin to bring out the crystal feeling, which forms a strong contrast with the brutal Unit-13. The highlight of the base is the wreckage of Unit-6, which is stepped on by Unit-13. The core is destroyed by the Lance of Longinus, and the body is submerged in the sea of ​​blood.
