Marvel's new Muslim superhero series Ms. Marvel wraps up

According to foreign media Variety, "Ms. Marvel" has announced that filming has been completed and will be broadcast on the streaming media Disney+ at a later date. The show was filmed in the United States and Thailand, with a Muslim protagonist and a cast mainly of Asian descent. Newcomer Iman Vellani plays Ms. Marvel.

She will also appear in "Captain Marvel 2", with Bisha K. Ali (Sex Education, Four Weddings and a Funeral) as the chief screenwriter, and Adil El Arbi & Bilal Fallah (Bad Boys 3), Shameen Obeid-Chinoy, who won two Oscars for Best Documentary Short, and Mira Menon (The Walking Dead, The Punisher) participating in the directing.

In the comics, Kamala Khan comes from a Muslim family in New Jersey, USA, and her family members are all Pakistani. She is a potential member of the Inhumans. After a class reunion, she accidentally gained superpowers through the Terrigen Mist. She was found by Carol Danvers, who was then Ms. Marvel, and the title of Ms. Marvel was given to her. Later, the latter became Captain Marvel, and Khan joined the Avengers.

Ms. Marvel has super strength, can transform or change the size of body parts, and can heal. Electromagnetic pulses are her weakness, which will temporarily incapacitate her.
