HBO is developing a Chinese-themed Game of Thrones animation

HBO Max is developing at least three Game of Thrones animations. In January this year, it was revealed that one was in development, and now THR adds that HBO Max is also working on at least two other Game of Thrones animation projects.

One of the films will be set in the golden empire "Yi Ti" east of Esso. This place features Chinese elements and is one of the oldest and most advanced societies in the "Ice and Fire" world. It is also briefly mentioned in "Game of Thrones".

During the 12 years of writing the world collection, Martin developed a strong interest in Yiti and created a colorful dynasty and legend for it. The material he wrote for Yiti, about two to three thousand words, was not included in the world collection due to limited space. Later, Martin even said that after completing Ice and Fire, he hoped to write a series of novels on the theme of Yiti, and he must have kept a lot of ideas and notes about it privately. This animation may be able to use Martin's unpublished materials to realize his ideas.
