'The Godfather' director plans new film 'Metropolis' with $100 million budget

According to the famous film and television media Deadline, Francis Ford Coppola, who directed "The Godfather", plans to shoot a new work "Megalopolis". Although Director Coppola is now 82 years old, he still claims that he is as energetic as he is in his 20s or 40s.

Director Coppola said that he has always wanted to shoot "Metropolis". He began to conceive the script of the film in the 1990s. Director Coppola said that the filming will officially begin in the fall of 2022, with a planned budget of between 100 million and 120 million US dollars. According to the director, several acquaintances he knows are already planning to invest in this film, and he also said that if necessary, he will also bear part of the filming costs.
